individual Therapy
It is the belief of AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) that similar to an open wound, the body is designed to heal itself physically and emotionally. Oftentimes increased depression, anxiety, and stagnation are bodily signals that there are deeper emotions to be processed.
Amy uses her advanced training in AEDP to create a warm, authentic, compassionate relationship with clients. Within the framework of a safe therapeutic relationship, together we can explore and soften the anxieties and defenses that block true emotional experiences, which often feel too overwhelming to face alone. By processing these emotions together, using empirically-validated techniques, we can unlock the innate potential for healing.
Clients often express feelings of clarity, lightness, and increased self compassion after AEDP sessions.
